NoonDate Review After 7 Days: Is NoonDate Legit?

I was looking for a new dating app when I came across the NoonDate app. It seemed pretty popular, especially since it has over 1 million downloads on the Play Store alone.

I also noticed many people searching for a NoonDate review, so I decided to try it myself.

Now, I’m going to use this app for a full 7 days, and by the end of this review, you’ll have a clear idea of whether it’s worth using or if you should skip it.

Day 1: Signing up and Getting Started

I just installed the app and created my profile. You can sign up using your phone number, email, Facebook, or Kakao account.

While signing up with email, I noticed something strange. The app clearly says, “Married couples cannot sign up.”

Another thing that felt odd was that even after choosing email sign-up, I still had to verify my phone number. That confused me because the whole reason I picked email sign-up was to avoid sharing my personal number.

After that, the app asked a few basic questions like my date of birth, height, interests, and then requested two photos with a clearly visible face.

Completing the profile took around 5–7 minutes. But once I finished, I got stuck on the home screen with a message saying “Facebook Verification.”

I really had no option other than verifying my Facebook account. After doing that, the app showed another message saying, “Your profile is under review.” According to the app, the review process can take anywhere from 5 minutes to 5 hours.

It definitely feels stricter compared to most dating apps, where you can simply create a profile and start swiping right away.

Now let’s see how long the profile review takes and what happens after approval.

Day 2: First Likes and Early Experience

My account finally got approved after around 10 hours. Even before the approval, the app asked me a few basic questions to complete the setup.

Once the account was approved, profiles started appearing on the home screen, just like on any other dating app.

However, I quickly noticed that the app gives only 20 free candies, and sending one like costs 10 candies. That basically means you can send likes to only two people for free, so I decided to use them carefully.

I liked two profiles on the morning of day 2, and by the evening, I still hadn’t received any likes back.

The app also lets you send a message along with a like, which supposedly doubles the chances of getting a response, but that costs 20 candies.

Another thing I noticed was that there weren’t many new profiles. Most of the profiles started repeating after some time.

By the end of the second day, the app was already starting to feel a bit boring. It honestly doesn’t feel like something that will suit everyone. Still, it’s too early for a final opinion, so I’ll continue using it and see how things go.

Day 3: Getting Likes but Hitting Paywalls

I honestly wasn’t expecting it, but I finally started getting likes on the app. When I woke up today, I had received my first like, and by the evening, the number had gone up to three.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t see who liked my profile because that feature is locked behind a paywall, and I had already used all my free candies.

I decided not to spend money because I wanted to test what the app actually offers for free. So far, I’ve realized that there really isn’t much you can do without paying. Since I have zero candies left, I can’t send likes anymore and can only scroll through profiles.

Another thing I noticed is that, unlike some other dating apps, NoonDate doesn’t give daily login rewards or free candies every day. So at this point, if I want to continue using the app properly, I basically have to pay just to use its main feature — liking profiles.

For now, I’m still exploring the app to see how the experience goes from here.

Day 4: Repetitive Experience and Language Issues

Honestly, day 4 felt almost the same as day 3. Nothing really new happened. A few more girls viewed my profile, but I didn’t receive a single like today.

One thing I really want to mention is that a large part of this app is still in Korean. For example, in sections like Self PR and Blind, users keep posting updates and commenting on each other’s posts.

The problem is that once you open those posts or comments, most of the content is completely in Korean. So if you don’t understand the language, it’s very hard to know what’s going on. I faced the same issue while using the app.

And it’s not limited to just those sections. In many other parts of the app, there’s still a lot of Korean text, which can make the experience confusing for international users who don’t know the language.

Day 5: Exploring Features

Today, I decided to explore the app’s features because I already had a feeling that nothing much was going to happen again.

The first thing I tried was the free voice chat feature, and surprisingly, it actually connected me with someone. The conversation didn’t last very long, but at least the feature worked properly.

However, I should mention that it’s not completely free. The app gives only 35 free minutes for voice chat, and after that, you need candies to continue using it.

After that, I explored features like JinX, WorldCup, Ask, Pick Pic, Survey, and News. Unfortunately, all of these sections are heavily focused on Korean content and language, so they weren’t really useful for someone like me.

One feature I genuinely liked was “Selfie.” It analyzes your uploaded profile pictures, gives them a score out of 5, and even suggests which photo looks the most attractive so you can use it as your main profile picture to potentially get more likes.

I’ll be honest — the app actually has several interesting features. The problem is that many of them are clearly designed mainly for Korean users since a lot of the content and interface is still in Korean.

Day 6: Losing Interest

Honestly, I’m starting to lose interest in the app now. At this point, I don’t even feel like opening it anymore.

The main reason is simple — there’s very little you can do for free. Yes, I’ve received around 8 likes so far, but they’re basically useless because I can’t like those profiles back without spending money.

The app uses a candy system for almost everything, and these are the current prices:

The app also keeps showing limited-time offers. For example, at one point, I saw an offer giving 100 candies for $7.99.

Today, I also explored another feature called “Sologram.” It works kind of like a Facebook-style photo feed where you can scroll through other users’ pictures and like them.

However, there’s another catch. If you want to actually open someone’s full profile from Sologram, you need to spend 5 candies again.

Day 7: Happily Deleting My Account

By the end of 7 days, you usually get a pretty clear idea of whether a dating app is worth keeping or if it’s better to uninstall it.

And honestly, you’ve probably already guessed my opinion by now. I don’t think NoonDate is worth it for most people, especially users from countries like the USA, Canada, or the UK, because the app is clearly designed mainly for Korean users.

Today, I finally decided to delete my account. Thankfully, the process was simple and straightforward. The app does ask why you’re leaving, but you can just select any reason and continue.

Overall, using the NoonDate app for seven days wasn’t a very enjoyable experience for me.

Is NoonDate Legit?

Although the NoonDate app didn’t really work for me, that doesn’t mean it’s a scam. NoonDate is a legit dating app with millions of downloads and real users.

It may or may not work for you depending on your location and preferences, but for people living in countries like Korea, Japan, or China, this app is definitely worth trying.

Should You Try NoonDate Dating App?

If you live in Korea or want to connect with Korean users, then yes, NoonDate is worth trying because the app is clearly built around Korean dating culture and has a large user base.

But if you are from countries like the USA, Canada, or the UK and expect a typical swipe-based dating experience, then this app may feel frustrating. A lot of features are locked behind paywalls, many sections still use Korean language, and the free experience is quite limited.
